Birmingham based Cloud One Group, who provide packaged technical, production and equipment solutions to the events industry, has just reinforced its already extensive Lab.gruppen portfolio with the addition of ten PLM 10000Q Powered Loudspeaker Management™ systems.
Cloud One is no stranger to the Lab.gruppen brand and already has an impressive inventory of FP+ Series FP 6000Q’s and classic fP 3400’s. Their latest acquisition will give them another 100,000 watts of power weighing in at only 13.5 kgs per device. The two-input, four-output PLM 10000Q seamlessly integrates networked digital signal distribution through Dante™, drive processing, power amplification, and load verification plus performance monitoring in a single hardware unit and unified Lake® Controller software. This innovative approach, designated Powered Loudspeaker Management (PLM), is a cohesive blend of Lake Processing and Lab.gruppen power.
Paul Stratford, Cloud One MD commented, “We are very pleased to have invested in the PLMs and to have strengthened our relationship with Lab.gruppen and UK reseller John Hornby Skewes”. He also added that “Apart from the obviously impressive power to weight ratio and reduced job preparation time we are very much looking forward to having a one amplifier solution that will be as much at home powering a double 18” sub as it is driving compression drivers in bi-amplified cabinets. We are also very excited about using Dante to network the amplifiers to our digital consoles reducing digital to analogue conversion and latency”.
Stuart McKay, Southern Sales Manager for JHS’s pro audio division adds: “As far as professionalism goes Cloud One are second to none, offering the complete package. From technical support through to sound, staging, rigging and lighting systems they really do go the extra mile to provide a complete solution for their clients’ functions. With the world renowned sound and flexibility of Lab.gruppen and Lake they are clearly moving ahead of the competition!”
The PLM Series has been expanded with the recent unveiling of the PLM 20000Q, which brings together the world’s most powerful amplifier platform (delivering an incredible 20000 W across 4 discrete channels) and the industry-leading digital sound manipulation features of Lake Processing.
