Lab.gruppen and Lake look ahead to PL&S 2012

Published on 22nd February, 2012

Prolight & Sound Once again, pro-audio partners Lab.gruppen and Lake will be exhibiting at Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt, taking place at the Frankfurt Messe between 21st – 24th March.

The brands will be bringing their industry leading product lines for touring and installation applications to Hall 8, Stand E80, including the first ever appearance at PL&S of the latest evolution of Lake’s LM Series of digital audio system processors, LM 44, along with a sneak preview of the brand new developments with Lake Controller software.

Heading up the touring front will be Lab.gruppen’s flagship PLM Series, including the TEC Award-winning PLM 20000Q, which couples the world’s most powerful four-channel amplifier platform to the industry-leading digital sound manipulation features of Lake Processing.

Also on show will be the LM 44 digital audio system processor, the latest addition to Lake’s acclaimed LM Series that also includes the LM 26. Similar in many respects to the LM 26 Digital Audio Loudspeaker Processor, the LM 44 is geared more towards the role of a Dedicated Audio System Processor, with a different input/output configuration – in this case, four analog input and four analog outputs, in contrast to the LM 26’s 2-in/6-out.

Lake will also be providing an advanced preview of the brand new release of its Lake Controller software, marking a critical leap forward in the development of the ubiquitous live sound processing environment. Version 6 will ultimately feature support for the forthcoming Yamaha MY8-LAKE card as well as a host of improvements to performance and functionality including the much-awaited integration with Smaart v7 and WaveCapture’s Live-Capture real-time spectrum analysis software systems. TC Group’s Josh Evans will be on hand to present daily seminars on the latest developments with Lake Controller and PLM Series and LM Series hardware integration.

Also making its Frankfurt debut will be E Series, Lab.gruppen’s latest range of install-centric amplifiers, which was Highly Commended at the 2012 InAVation Awards – and is based on the same innovative Lab.gruppen IDEEA technology as is featured in Tannoy’s VXP Series. All three models of this revolutionary new product will be on display to an international audience.

As well as the installation offering of E Series, and indeed PLM Series, Lab.gruppen will also show he flexible C Series of four-channel and eight-channel amplifiers, which couple a space saving power-to-size ratio and high channel density to superb sound quality and continuous reliability, thus providing full confidence in any type and size of sound installation.
