Held between 1st-3rd of February at Amsterdam’s RAI, Integrated Systems Europe 2011 turned out to be the largest AV show ever held in Europe and that general success was tangible on the Tannoy, Lab.gruppen and Lake booth over the 3 day event. Customers, business partners and industry colleagues alike flocked to the stand to catch a first glimpse at the newly debuted VX Series and VXP Series from Tannoy, the latter featuring Lab.gruppen’s brand new IDEEA power module, as well as to discuss what seemed to be a substantial increase in business opportunities compared to recent years.
As was widely predicted on the eve of the event, the show smashed the 34,000 visitor barrier, ultimately registering a grand total of 34,870 with over 700 exhibitors – putting it on a par with InfoComm in the US and marking a 22% increase on ISE’s 2010 event. The general consensus among the team representing TC Group’s professional audio brands was that of great satisfaction with the show, and a feeling that it generated high quality new business leads as well as being a great opportunity to meet with existing customers.
Mark Flanagan, Communications Manager for Tannoy, Lake and Lab.gruppen, commented, “After a number of years exhibiting at ISE and witnessing its steady growth in stature, I think it’s fair to say that the show is now a key stage for us when it comes to launching new product – certainly where the installation market is concerned. This year’s event was undoubtedly the most successful for us to date and it proved to be the perfect platform for us when it came to debuting two major new product ranges. While Frankfurt’s Prolight+Sound remains a major show for us in Europe, we’re increasingly feeling ISE delivers more bang for your buck when it comes to installation business and we’re already planning for another hugely positive show next year.”
