Class TD® & PSU
In this Section
Patented Class TD topology – a masterpiece of design – utilizes a sonically high quality Class B stage for the audio signal path passing directly to the speakers, while at the same time a high frequency tracking rail voltage provides the high efficiency characteristic of a Class D topology. This unique combination produces a flat frequency response into reactive loads, and does not color the sound in any way.
For the C Series high-power models, Class TD has been further refined and, for the first time, it is available in a package specifically designed for the requirements of permanent installations.
The super-efficient Class TD amplifier modules are coupled to an optimized Regulated Switch Mode Power Supply (R.SMPS™). As a fully regulated design, R.SMPS ensures the amplifier will deliver stable output power independent of deviations in the mains voltage. With C Series amplifiers, output power remains constant even with significant drops in AC line voltage drops.
Working in concert, these two key components provide three major benefits: efficient high-power output; consistent and reliable operation; and natural, uncolored sound.
