SpeakerSafe™

During the performance, SpeakerSafe provides real-time load surveillance. By constantly monitoring amplifier response into the load, and comparing it to the predictive model provided via LoadLibrary™, SpeakerSafe accurately calculates temperatures for both the voice coil and magnet structure.

Using this information, the operator can avoid power compression through selective attenuation (via the Lake® Controller software) of “borderline” subsystems. SpeakerSafe not only prevents sonic degradation but also provides detailed critical information about system-wide driver performance.

Comprehensive Loudspeaker Presets

Lab.gruppen will be cooperating with loudspeaker manufacturers and key users worldwide to create and update a comprehensive preset database. The database will contain both the compatible data for the Dolby Lake Processor as well as the extended data needed for LoadLibrary.

The complete database will be available for download from the Lab.gruppen website, and updated database snapshots will be part of each software installation and update package.
